AN-nya foundation

The AN-NYA Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Basel., Itwas founded in 2018 on the initiative of Dr. Peter Nussbaumer. Seven years prior to the creation of the foundation, Dr. Nussbaumer had started the working at St. Mary's Hospital in Nigeria.

in the language of the Idoma tribe.

The foundation is committed to promoting safe, timely and affordable surgical treatment in medically underserved areas. 

Our work focuses on theoretical and practical training in surgical disciplines (surgery, gynecology, and obstetrics) and anesthesia. 

All our staff members are volunteers.
